2rmin Carrier 3.0 - Hybrid Audiostand
The Concept:
After building a couple of wooden stands / rigs, it became clear that the 3rd generation should include multiple features:
⊙ Lightweight Wooden System ( 3kg approx. without gear)
⊙ Hide all cables and AV adapters
⊙ Easy accessible mixing unit (Focusrite Scarlett 18i20) to connect all devices and it’s also crucial to have monitor speaker outputs and 2 headphone outputs for jamming with friends and fellow musicians.
⊙ DAWless Workflow (no Digital Audio Workstation required)
⊙ Minimize the output cables (only 1 power in/out) for maximum mobility
⊙ find a comfortable way to still access all cables and devices for flexibility

MAKING OF - CONCEPT
This part basically took a couple of weeks because it turned out to be quite tricky to balance the whole setup - The main approach was to include everything for a fully functional DAWless workstation and have further IN/OUTPUTS for further tools and even include voice recording in

Frontend Hatch for Digiton & Digitakt (Midi, In&Out, Power)
The Top Hatch:
The really cool thing about the setup is the usability while keeping it clean. I hated having cables everywhere and working around them while only very few are patched frequently.
Extendible Keyboard:
The Keyboard was the most tricky part. It’s mounted on 3 wooden pieces that work like rails. The space is customized for the Arturia Keystep that works great with other gear. I don’t need it all the time. once the sequences are fine, most of the work happens on the other devices so I enjoy hiding it while working on a live jam and e.g. the beats…
